Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail for processing invoices and payments accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
• Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for financial reporting
• Experience with inventory management and reconciliation
• Certification in Accounts Payable (CAPS) or Accounts Receivable (CARS)
