Salary Range: $63,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Tool and Die Makers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, scheCAD drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing dies and tooling.
• Set up and operate presses for tryouts and short production runs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Demonstrated expertise in operating manual and CNC machinery (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs)
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery
• Demonstrated ability to perform precision measurements using CMM or other metrology tools
• Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing processes for prototyping or tooling
• Certification in a specialized trade (e.g., mold making, jig and fixture building)
