Tool Room Supervisor | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $64,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Spring Lake that are seeking Tool Room Supervisors. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, and machinery.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support tooling requirements for new products.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
• Troubleshoot complex tooling issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in tool and die making, machining, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven expertise in operating and programming CNC machinery, manual machining equipment, and precision measurement tools.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology principles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled toolmakers and machinists.
• Experience with inventory management and procurement processes for tooling and materials.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and fabrication.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin.
• Project management experience, specifically with tooling-related projects.
