Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in St. Johns seeking experienced Tool Makers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and machinery.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and improve tooling designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of various machining processes, tools, and materials
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform quality checks

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
• Certification or advanced training in precision machining or a related field.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of metrology equipment, including CMMs.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or mentorship role within a tool room.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex tooling issues and implement effective solutions.
