Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures for new and existing products.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production and design teams on welding-related issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Evaluate and recommend new welding equipment, technologies, and consumables.
• Design and optimize weld joint configurations for manufacturability and performance.
• Train and mentor welding technicians and other personnel on best practices and safety.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications for welding.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes.
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW) and their applications.
• Familiarity with AWS, ASME, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
• Experience with welding procedure development, qualification, and optimization.
• Proficiency in metallurgical analysis and failure investigation related to welded components.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT)
• Project management experience
