Facilities Manager | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $90,000 - $137,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Manage facility-related projects, including expansions, renovations, and equipment installations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Optimize space utilization and facility layout to support efficient production.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million dollar facilities budgets.
• Experience in leading and developing a team of maintenance technicians and facilities staff.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and their application in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with CMMS/CAFM software implementation or optimization.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) with a focus on facility-related projects.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• OSHA 30-hour certification for General Industry.
