Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of shop floor employees, providing guidance and training.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies on the shop floor.
  • Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production output.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap, and labor, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, engineering, and maintenance, to resolve interdependencies.
  • Conduct regular shop floor inspections to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
  • - Proficiency in troubleshooting complex machinery and production line issues
  • - Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., welding, machining, electrical)
  • - First Aid/CPR certification
