Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and train shipping and receiving personnel, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with production, inventory, and transportation departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the shipping and receiving area.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent receiving, put-away, and shipping processes.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, and compliance with quality standards.
• Operate and maintain shipping and receiving equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and their application in warehouse operations.
• - Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
• - Basic understanding of inventory management software beyond just scanning.
• - Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation.
