Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain welding procedures and specifications (WPS) to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Oversee welding operations, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting to welding personnel.
- Select appropriate welding processes, equipment, and consumables for various manufacturing applications.
- Conduct welding process qualifications (WPQR) and performance qualifications (WPQ) for welders and procedures.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize weld joint design and manufacturability.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures, including visual inspection, NDT, and destructive testing.
- Research and recommend new welding technologies and materials to improve product performance and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing welding procedures (WPS) and qualifications (PQR).
- Strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) and their applications in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, material properties, and heat treatment related to welding.
- Experience with welding inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with advanced welding automation and robotic systems.
- - Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like ultrasonic and radiographic testing.
- - Certifications in specific welding processes (e.g., Certified Welding Inspector - CWI).
