Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Set up and operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
  • Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, cracks, and incomplete fusion.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting parts.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures for specific welding tasks.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6).
  • Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with welding inspection techniques and quality control standards.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, SAW)
  • - Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., visual, dye penetrant, ultrasonic)
