Salary Range: $46,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on various materials and components according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG, MIG, and stick welders.
  • Inspect and test welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding procedures.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
  • Document welding activities and report any issues or deviations to supervisors.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3).
  • Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with robotic welding systems
  • - Certified welding inspector (CWI) or equivalent
  • - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
  • - Knowledge of various welding filler metals and their applications
