Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations on various metals according to blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
- Inspect and test welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, materials used, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize welding processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certification in welding or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Proficiency in using welding equipment and hand/power tools.
- Understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, orbital welding)
- - Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as visual inspection, dye penetrant, or ultrasonic testing
- - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX)
- - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in welding processes
- - Ability to interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
