Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Byron Center that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately record all incoming and outgoing goods in the inventory management system.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier specifications, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, utilizing forklifts or other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Coordinate with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials.
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
• Process shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and return authorizations.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite)
• Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs)
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Bonus Qualifications

• - Forklift certification
• - Experience with inventory management software
• - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• - Familiarity with shipping carrier portals (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS)
