Salary Range: $51,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), blueprints, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
• Estimate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing departments to ensure accurate costing and manufacturability.
• Calculate competitive pricing, profit margins, and realistic lead times for proposed projects.
• Prepare and submit detailed, professional quotations to customers within specified deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, revisions, pricing data, and customer communications.
• Follow up on submitted quotes and respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, scope, and delivery.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficient in calculating material, labor, and overhead costs, and developing competitive pricing strategies.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail for accurate quote generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Basic understanding of CAD software for reviewing designs.
• Specific experience quoting for [e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding] processes.
