Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design new packaging solutions for manufactured products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging to ensure product protection, shelf life, and shipping integrity.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging materials and processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source and qualify packaging materials and components.
• Ensure all packaging complies with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Manage packaging projects from concept development through to successful implementation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for package design and a strong understanding of various packaging materials.
• Experience with packaging testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and relevant quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept through to production launch.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with packaging design software such as CAPE or TOPS.
• Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) certification.
• Experience with sustainable packaging materials and design principles.
• Familiarity with automated packaging line integration.
