Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, maintaining comprehensive quality records and reports.
  • Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action processes.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications to ensure product compliance.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes for adherence to established quality standards and control plans.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality discrepancies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying defects and non-conformances.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry, report generation, and navigating quality management systems.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification in quality inspection or a related field preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
