Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient management of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of all tooling, including tracking usage, repair status, and replacement needs.
• Schedule and supervise the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the tool room environment.
• Manage and train tool room personnel, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand tooling requirements and support new product development.
• Develop and manage the tool room budget, including procurement of new tooling and materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
• - Certification in tool and die making or a related trade.
• - Familiarity with preventative maintenance scheduling and execution for tooling.
• - Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) as it applies to tooling.
