Salary Range: $63,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of tools and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, dies, fixtures, and spare parts, implementing robust tracking and reordering systems.
• Supervise, train, and mentor tool room technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments and inspection tools.
• Develop and manage the tool room budget, controlling costs and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand tooling needs and resolve any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repairs, and maintenance history.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with inventory management software and barcode systems.
• - Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• - Basic understanding of CNC machining principles.
• - Familiarity with preventive maintenance scheduling for tools.
• - Experience with vendor management and procurement for tooling.
