Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and organization of the tool room, ensuring efficient access to tools and equipment.
• Manage the inventory of tools, dies, fixtures, and spare parts, implementing robust tracking and control systems.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a safe work environment.
• Implement and enforce preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate the repair, refurbishment, and calibration of tools and dies, working with internal teams and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, and repair history.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to identify tooling needs and resolve production issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling technologies.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and stock control systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and 5S implementation
• - Certification in tool and die making or related trade
• - Familiarity with preventative maintenance software and scheduling
• - Basic understanding of CNC machining and programming
