Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies for various materials and part geometries.
- Design and develop custom fixtures, jigs, and other workholding solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform program dry runs, simulations, and first-article prove-outs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and part quality.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve machining processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and machining processes.
- Optimize existing CNC programs to reduce cycle times, improve surface finish, and extend tool life.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM).
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and machining processes.
- Experience with various CNC machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and quality.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis machining or advanced multi-axis programming.
- Proficiency in designing custom fixtures and tooling using CAD software.
- Familiarity with DNC systems, MES, or ERP integration.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
