Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for lathe machines using CAD/CAM software and manual G-code.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for specific parts and materials.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy, collision avoidance, and optimal machine performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, including setup sheets, tool lists, and program revisions.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve part quality.
- Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to programs to achieve desired part specifications and tolerances.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for CNC lathe programming.
- Expertise in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, workholding, and machining parameters for diverse materials.
- Proven experience in process optimization and troubleshooting of CNC lathe programs.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience programming multi-axis CNC lathes (e.g., Y-axis, sub-spindle).
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, or in-process gauging integration.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to design custom tooling, fixtures, or workholding solutions.
- Experience with post-processor development or modification.
