Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for lathe machines using CAM software and G-code.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices based on part specifications and material.
• Design and create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Conduct program verification through simulation and first article run-offs, making necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Analyze existing programs to identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related manufacturing data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating complex turning programs.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for Fanuc or similar CNC controls.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of lathe tooling, inserts, and workholding methods for various materials.
• Experience with process optimization, cycle time reduction, and troubleshooting common machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience programming multi-axis or mill-turn CNC machines.
• Proficiency with advanced CAM software features, including post-processor customization.
• Familiarity with metrology equipment and GD&T principles for quality assurance.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
