Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure manufacturing machinery and equipment for production runs.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Perform test runs and make fine-tune adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, mechanical malfunctions, and minor electrical problems.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine setup requirements.
• Document setup procedures, parameters, and any modifications made.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in machine setup and operation within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code) or advanced machine operation.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotic systems.
• Proficiency with precision metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
