Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures from blueprints or sketches.
- Operate and set up a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of existing production tooling and equipment.
- Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine tool specifications.
- Conduct precision measurements using metrology instruments to ensure tool accuracy and quality.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design for manufacturability and performance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs).
- Solid understanding of various metal properties, heat treatment processes, and tooling materials.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex tooling and dies.
Bonus Qualifications
- Advanced CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
- Experience with precision welding techniques (e.g., TIG, laser welding)
- Knowledge of metrology and advanced inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
- Familiarity with various heat treatment processes for tool steels
- Proven experience in designing jigs, fixtures, or tooling
