Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of new and modified tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance, lifespan, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure tool designs meet specifications and manufacturability requirements.
• Manage tool maintenance, repair schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement effective corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam).
• Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, stamping, injection molding).
• Understanding of GD&T principles and their application to tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling or prototyping applications.
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
• Proficiency with advanced CAD/CAM simulation or analysis software (e.g., mold flow analysis, FEA for tooling).
