Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive quality records, including non-conformance reports.
  • Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection and test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality requirements and inspection criteria.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).
  • Experience performing inspections, testing, and documenting results in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CMM operation or programming
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
