Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and validate CMM programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Interpret complex GD&T requirements for measurement and inspection.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize measurement strategies.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and measurement discrepancies.
• Maintain and update CMM programs and associated documentation.
• Select and apply appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement techniques.
• Perform routine CMM calibration and preventative maintenance checks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, 2D drawings, and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and probe qualification.
• Experience with various CMM types and measurement strategies for complex parts.

Bonus Qualifications

• GD&T Certification (e.g., ASME Y14.5)
• Proficiency with CAD software for model manipulation and analysis
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
• Experience with CMM fixture design or fabrication
