Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead).
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Manage inventory accounting, including valuation, obsolescence, and cycle count adjustments.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts related to production costs.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and process improvements within manufacturing operations.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis for management decision-making.
• Support financial audits by providing necessary cost data and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for cost analysis
