EHS Manager | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations for accidents, near misses, and environmental excursions, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Manage all aspects of EHS training, including new employee orientation, specific hazard training, and regulatory updates.
• Oversee hazardous waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and other environmental compliance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance and foster a strong safety culture.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with EHS management software implementation or advanced data analytics.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages common in manufacturing workforces.
• Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) or similar auditing certification.
