Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Holland region seeking Tool and Die Makers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build new tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• Repair and maintain existing tooling to ensure optimal production.
• Operate a variety of machine tools such such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine tooling requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues impacting manufacturing processes.
• Perform precision measurements using various inspection equipment to verify tool accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve tool design and manufacturing efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated expertise in operating manual and CNC machinery (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and various tooling materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for precision measurement and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Certification in a specialized area (e.g., EDM, CNC programming)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or train junior Tool and Die Makers
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with metrology equipment and advanced inspection techniques
