Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
- Repair and maintain existing dies and tooling.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to create precision components.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on design improvements and new product development.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in tool and die making
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
- Familiarity with metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
- Certification in a relevant skilled trade (e.g., CNC Machining, Welding)
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated machinery
