Tool Room Supervisor | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Tool Room Supervisors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tools and machinery.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, initiating procurement as needed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all tool room equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations within the tool room.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to support manufacturing needs.
• Optimize tool room operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool and die making, machining, and fabrication.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of various machine tools, precision measuring instruments, and quality control procedures.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing and interpreting designs.
• Experience with CNC programming and operation.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior toolmakers.
• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages common in manufacturing environments.
