Salary Range: $63,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Tool Room Supervisors. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage the procurement, maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all tools and machinery.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for tool storage, usage, and repair.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all tools, dies, and related components.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture design and modification.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, CNC Programming).
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory and work order management.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
