Tool Room Supervisor | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $64,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all tooling and equipment.
• Manage tool inventory, procurement, and distribution to production lines.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
• Train and mentor tool room technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications for all tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize tool design and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repair history, and calibration data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for fixture design and modification.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP).
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and programming.
• Experience with implementing and managing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
