Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform precision measurements using a wide range of inspection tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues to ensure optimal production performance.
- Maintain and repair existing production tooling.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve tooling designs and processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in tool making is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating proficiency in fabricating, altering, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, scheCAD models, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and various machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
- Expertise in operating manual and CNC machine tools, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve complex tooling issues, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality.
