Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and document laser welding processes and parameters for new and existing products.
- Program, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laser welding equipment and associated automation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for weld defects and quality issues.
- Design and develop tooling and fixtures to support efficient and precise laser welding operations.
- Perform weld inspections and metrology to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability and optimize product designs for laser welding.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing operators on laser welding techniques and safety protocols.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting laser welding processes for precision manufacturing.
- Strong foundation in metallurgy and material science relevant to laser welding of various metals and alloys.
- Proficiency in weld quality inspection techniques, defect analysis, and implementing root cause corrective actions.
- Familiarity with automated laser welding systems and adherence to laser safety standards.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic programming (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB) for automated laser welding systems.
- Proficiency in metallurgical analysis and characterization techniques beyond standard practice.
