Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust manufacturing presses according to specifications and production schedules.
• Operate presses to produce parts, monitoring machine performance and output.
• Perform in-process quality checks and inspect finished products for defects and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of press machinery.
• Load raw materials and unload finished components, ensuring proper material flow.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating manufacturing machinery, ideally presses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Ability to train or mentor junior operators on press operations and safety protocols
