Training Manager / Coordinator | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all manufacturing personnel, covering safety, quality, operational procedures, and equipment operation.
• Assess training needs through performance reviews, skill gap analyses, and feedback from department managers.
• Design and deliver engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, hands-on exercises, and e-learning modules.
• Coordinate training schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to production while maximizing employee participation.
• Track and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, post-training feedback, and impact on key performance indicators.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Identify and onboard external training providers or subject matter experts when specialized knowledge is required.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the manufacturing workforce.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training evaluation techniques.
• Ability to manage training budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in training.
• - Proficiency in developing and delivering e-learning modules and virtual training.
• - Certification in Instructional Design or Adult Learning Principles.
• - Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their training components.
• - Experience in change management initiatives related to new manufacturing processes.
