Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify new packaging solutions for manufacturing products.
• Conduct packaging material testing and performance validation.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and optimization opportunities for packaging.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate packaging components and systems.
• Ensure packaging compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives and material selection.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, corrugated, flexibles).
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize packaging for cost-efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable packaging design and materials.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks) for packaging design.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• ISTA certification or deep knowledge of package performance testing standards.
