Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and quality specifications.
  • Document inspection results, including acceptance or rejection, accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials and collaborate with suppliers/purchasing for resolution.
  • Maintain calibration status of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring their proper use and care.
  • Communicate inspection status and potential issues to production, purchasing, and engineering departments.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Familiarity with quality standards, sampling plans (e.g., AQL), and non-conformance reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify visual and dimensional defects.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and quality system documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Advanced GD&T comprehension
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems for material tracking
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification
