Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and quality standards to ensure product compliance.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance reports.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, including GD&T.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing inspection processes.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or non-conformances.
  • Experience with accurate documentation of inspection results and non-conformance reports.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of calibration processes for inspection equipment.
