Salary Range: $54,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing guidance and technical support.
• Set up, program, and operate complex CNC machinery (mills, lathes) for precision part fabrication.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure part accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining process issues, machine malfunctions, and tooling problems.
• Optimize machining parameters and processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new parts and improve existing manufacturing methods.

Recommended Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in precision machining, encompassing both CNC and manual equipment.
• Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAM), setup, operation, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including training, mentoring, and guiding a team of machinists.
• Expert-level understanding of blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and precision measurement tools.
• Strong knowledge of material properties, tooling selection, and process optimization for high-quality, efficient production.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in CAD/CAM programming and simulation software.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Experience with specialized machining processes (e.g., EDM, laser cutting, grinding).
• Ability to design and fabricate custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
