Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, fixtures, and equipment.
• Implement and enforce tool control procedures to ensure accountability and prevent loss or damage.
• Schedule and supervise the repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of tooling.
• Manage the procurement of new tools and replacement parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Train and mentor tool room personnel on proper tool handling, maintenance techniques, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repairs, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify tooling needs and resolve issues.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for tooling and machinery.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Certification in relevant areas such as Six Sigma or APICS.
• - Strong understanding of inventory management software and ERP systems.
• - Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff.
