Salary Range: $63,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to plan tool and die fabrication.
- Fabricate, machine, and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
- Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing production tooling and dies to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct testing and adjustments to ensure tools meet quality, accuracy, and functional specifications.
- Select appropriate materials and apply heat treatment processes for tool and die construction.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in tool and die making, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding and application of precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of various metals, alloys, and their properties related to tooling.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving tooling and production issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, NX)
- Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Basic welding or fabrication skills (e.g., TIG, MIG) for tool repair or fixture building
