Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the inventory, organization, and maintenance of all tools, dies, fixtures, and equipment within the tool room.
• Ensure timely and accurate issuing and returning of tools to production personnel, maintaining meticulous records.
• Supervise and train tool room technicians, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the tool room environment.
• Manage the procurement and stocking of necessary tool room supplies and consumables.
• Coordinate the repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to identify tooling needs and resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient tool room workspace.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room environment, including knowledge of tooling, machinery, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities to address tooling issues efficiently.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures relevant to tool manufacturing and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Proficiency in CAD software for tool design and modification.
• - Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., Journeyman Machinist, Tool & Die Maker).
• - Experience with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems.
• - Familiarity with preventative maintenance scheduling and execution for tooling.
