Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize G-code programs for CNC lathes using CAM software or manual programming.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and workholding fixtures for specific part geometries and materials.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance, optimal tool paths, and adherence to specifications.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models to determine efficient machining strategies.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve machining processes.
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and program documentation.
- Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times, enhance part quality, and minimize material waste.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Expertise in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating complex toolpaths.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong understanding of cutting tool selection, workholding strategies, and machining principles for turning operations.
- Proven experience with program prove-out, optimization, and troubleshooting on CNC lathe machines.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with multi-axis (C-axis, Y-axis, sub-spindle) lathe programming.
- Proficiency with CNC simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut, NCSimul).
- Hands-on experience with CNC lathe setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to design or contribute to the design of custom workholding and tooling.
