Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using CAM software or G-code.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts for various materials and part geometries.
- Optimize machining parameters and tool paths to improve efficiency, cycle time, and part quality.
- Perform program dry runs, troubleshoot errors, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful machining.
- Create and maintain comprehensive setup sheets, tooling lists, and program documentation.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine processes and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to define machining strategies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM) for CNC lathe programming.
- Expertise in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, workholding, material properties, and machining parameters.
- Proven experience with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC lathes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience programming multi-axis or multi-spindle CNC lathes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for fixture design or part modification.
- Familiarity with DNC systems and shop floor data collection (SFDC) solutions.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
