Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
• Monitor machine operation, adjust offsets, and replace worn tooling to maintain part specifications.
• Load raw material into bar feeders and ensure continuous machine operation.
• Complete daily production logs, quality control documentation, and machine maintenance checklists.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards during machine operation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) for quality control.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and make minor program adjustments (G/M-code).
• Strong understanding of machining parameters for various materials and tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit, Mastercam).
• Demonstrated ability in tooling selection and optimization for specific materials.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and minor machine troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
