Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
• Facilitate and drive root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control plans, inspection procedures, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Conduct and facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure data integrity and measurement system capability.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D problem-solving).
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100) and regulatory compliance.
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or a related technical field.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced analytics
• Experience with automated inspection systems, vision systems, or quality data integration in an Industry 4.0 environment
• Direct experience managing customer quality issues, complaints, and building strong customer relationships
