Quality Engineer | East Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and report performance.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including APQP and PPAP submissions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Manage supplier quality, including supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
- Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, corrective actions (e.g., 8D), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with metrology, inspection techniques, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with industry-specific quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485)
- Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
